I recently got a review copy of Statistics, Data Mining, and Machine Learning in Astronomy.
I’m sure the book is especially useful to astronomers, but those of us who are not astronomers could use it as a survey of data analysis techniques, especially using Python tools, where all the examples happen to come from astronomy.
It covers a lot of ground and is pleasant to read.
